COVID-19
Dear Patients,
Since March 17, our office has been open to handle emergency cases only. However, for the last few weeks we’ve started to gradually welcome patients for their eye examination needs in our office four hours per day only. That is one full hour dedicated to each patient. Starting June 2, 2020, we will be completely prepared, under very precautionary measures, for all types of eye examinations and dispensing needs by appointment only.
We have been practicing social distancing, wearing masks, and sterilizing our counters, chairs, tables, doorknobs, and eyeglasses before and after each patient who was admitted into our office for either an eye examination or a frame selection. To protect our doctors and patients, we have placed shields on all our slit lamps and phoropters in the exam rooms. Exam chair times have been limited to minimize risks. In addition, we turn on our Ozone generator each day after work for eight hours to kill bacteria, viruses and mold, as well as to eliminate odors. Upon patient arrival, their body temperature and oxygen saturation level is taken and measured using a touch-less thermometer. All patients must wear a mask and clean their hands with hand sanitizer in the waiting area, no exceptions.
Most people who become infected with COVID-19 will have very mild symptoms. In fact, some individuals may never even be aware that they have been infected. Therefore, please stay home if any of the following apply to you:
Our staff will do you the courtesy of following the same guidelines.
We wish you all good physical and mental health in these times of uncertainty. We also hope for endurance to survive COVID-19 and its effects on our community.
Stay Safe and Stay Healthy.
Sincerely,
Dr. Nguyen and the team at Vallejo Optometry Group.
